The 3.9-mile course, constructed in 1987, was the venue for one touring car race that year and then didn't host another professional event until 2008. Even now, the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! shows nothing past 2011, which I feel like is wrong but I didn't do much digging, so:
And the site for the track itself appears to be dead so I don't know what is going on:

You can also see this building in the aerial shot above. Looks to be nestled in the area bounded by turns 14 and 19, and is apparently a hotel. You can very conveniently live out your fantasy international trackday retreat:
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! has some shots of and info on the hotel, but no mention of the track is made, which is either awesome or super shitty, depending on what kind of a tourist you are. But they do have free wifi!
There's even a

That would actually be a new track that would make F1 awesome.

It looks like a nice track, but F-1 new F-1 tracks have to have like 300 feet of runoff at each bend.

Wouldn't it be nice? Apparently they do a stage of the Tour de San Luis there every year. Hard to believe they've shifted to bicycles as their primary focus, but I don't see a whole lot of stuff about automotive racing in the searches I did.

this is probably why they can't/won't/haven't held a race there. Most of the track is right up along the water. And in that first race held there in '87, two spectators died in a crash in a preliminary heat, and there was another accident in the race itself.

Which is another big plus for the track. Screw run off areas, modern F1 tracks look like shopping mall parking lots with curbs.

This is one of the most amazing things I've seen in a while. I NEED to plan a vacation there.
How much do you think you'd have to pay the city to shut down those streets for personal use for a week(end)?

Well from what I can tell it's not being fully utilized, or at least nothing meaningful has happened there recently. I'm fairly certain they would accept some kind of lowball offer.
Shit, we should just do a kickstarter for the Desperate Petrolheads Benefit Fund, then a bunch of us could go.
